do it by example, i once heard this is something that is better done that said just help the boy put the strings right and start moving his fingers if he is still too clumpsy

The bunny ears work for most..........but, you should get a big shoe from Dad or Grandpa to practice on. Then if the bunny ear story isn't exciting enough, think of something the child likes and make up a story about that. Or mkae up a song about it. Anything to help them memorize the steps.

1. Don't allow them to tie the shoes and always tie your shoes in front of them.
2. Let them request to do that on their own.
3. Tell them for a couple of times that "Oh honey you are so small to do it, you can't do it"
4. RESULT : They will go into their room..........try again and again and come up with the result to show you that they can do it !!

teach him the classic bunny trick. my little brother learned it hella fast. just make the simple tie, then two loops, then tir the loops simple as that! when he/she gets older then you teach him the other way! warning:girls learn this faster then boys, proven fact!

asked David Blaine the magician to show your kid how to do it. They will end up trying it without using their hands.
