A great many people really didn't care for government while in school therefore are ignorant of the way a bill becomes a law. I think it would be a good idea that all high school students who will be graduating must show they understand this process in order to obtain their diploma. The dumbing down of America is rampant and it is time the schools started imparting knowledge instead of just passing students through.

I think a lot of people don't realize that their vote does count. I know talking to students at my college trying to get them to vote the often told me, "why should I it doesn't make a difference". Also, a lot of uneducated people think that just because their opinion is against something, they just assume that if they vote that way everyone else is to. I really think that America should have a course on American government every year and make it required. However, that is never going to happen.

I believe the problem lies in the way we make our decisions about which laws to vote in.Propisitions(sp)added to bills in such a way that in order to vote for a "good" law we must also vote for a "bad" law.
