My JVC GR-D270 camcorder has an error that says Unit in safegaurd mode eject tape and reinstal tape. Any help?

I dropped it on carpet and it started to say that error message. I'm wondering if I can repair it myself? Thanks

Don't try to fix it yourself. if you do the waranty is void. So you need to take it wear yuou bought it.
