There's nothing wrong with helping someone no matter what age with a simple question on their homework. If it's a question requires a lot of writing then just don't answer it. If you get "tricked" into writing a research paper for someone then you're just stupid. Besides, if people want to do spend time doing other peoples homework it's their choice.

That's why they have a separate "homework" section.

If kids would be more honest about it being homework help, rather than couching in the form of a general question, I'd be more apt to help them.

You are right. I am always afraid if I answer someones question that sounds like it might be a homework question if it actually is one or if someone is just asking it to understand that thing better. I think that there should be something done about it whether it is that or something else. I don't want to help someone cheat.

that wouldnt be too bad of an idea...but then again children can still go into the sites designated for older age groups, right?

but i do dislike those immature questions that you know were posted by lil kids like "how do you know if a girl likes you?" or "what is sex?" soooo annoying!

No. If you don't want to answer someone's question, then don't. When I answer a question, I don't even care about their motivation (curiousity, entertainment, homework...).
