There are a few reasons.
First, and this one is relatively normal – is that no mater how long you have been dating, your boyfriend has been having a relationship with his hand for even longer. It is a strong relationship, they get along well, he doesn’t have to buy his hand dinner, and he doesn’t have to make sure that his hand is satisfied. His hand never has a headache, and is always available. His hand always puts out, and never complains about the porn he likes, and doesn’t complain when it gets covered in ejaculate. His relationship with his hand will be going strong long after you break up with him. His hand knows JUST what he likes. It is hard to compete with a relationship like that.
But there is another reason. A LOT of girls get very judgmental about sex. They tell their guys, either directly or indirectly that what the guy is into is dirty, or wrong, or bad. Girls do that by turning up their nose at certain things, by demanding that a guy throw away his porn stash, by blatantly telling him that there are things she is not into or will not do. You are certainly allowed to not do certain things – but that will not endear you to him, or make you the person he turns to, to have those needs met.
Imagine how you would feel if he told you that what you wanted to do was gross. Would you want to have a lot of sex with him in the future?
Another issue is routine. Girls in a long relationship stop trying to please their boyfriends. They wear the ugly cotton panties, they have the set pattern that they follow, and a lot of the spice is missing – a LOT of girls act as if they don’t want to have sex. Why go through all the effort of getting a seemingly reluctant girl in the mood when the hand is ready and willing, and excited to get it on without the effort?
So a couple of the many reasons why a guy would rather hang out by himself rather than be with his girlfriend – are convenience and shame. His hand is convenient, and his girlfriend has shamed him.

Not all men do, but plenty. A lot of women watch it too. If it's excessive and something he'd rather do than have sex with you, then it's a problem. How often is "often"? Perhaps you two can come to a compromise? If he knows it troubles you, ask him to watch it less or not watch it when you are home. If he's adamant about watching it when and as much as HE wants, then I'd say there's a problem there. Counseling may be in order. A little porn is harmless, but there is such a thing as being addicted to it.

You say that like it's a bad thing.
A little something *different* is always a nice fantasy.
Doesn't matter how great the grass is, it *always* *looks* greener on the other side of the fence.
But a lot of guys have more sense than to "hop the fence" out of a good or great relationship. (Yeah, not all. But that holds true for gals, also.)
Have you tried *distracting* him from it?
modify) By the way, it must be remembered that men are much more visually stimulated; because most men 'SEE' better than they 'THINK', is why most women would rather have 'BEAUTY' than 'BRAINS'.

why do women have to put on makeup or take 3 hrs to get ready?
Why do girls have to have a different outfit every time they go out? Even though they have a lot of clothes? Why do women spend more money than what they have and expect the man to pay for it.
Why do men have to pay?
Do you want a man or a woman?
I dont watch porn at all. I do see it on the internet, my friends send it back and forth. We like Howard Stern. We listen on the internet now.
I wack it because my gf sleeps more than me.
Because we are men and you are women. We are different. Don't emasculate us. We are not women.

Maybe the question is why not? Maybe he watches it because he's thinking of new ideas to use with you, maybe he watches it because when you're not in the mood or not around he gets worked up and needs some form of release? Or maybe it's just that he finds it attractive? Now if he's addicted to porn, thats another issue.

Maybe I'm not your average woman but I like porn myself. My guy gets a kick out of it too and it's something we share. Maybe you shouldnt take it so personally it's not about you not giving him what he needs. Men are physical visual creatures and they need a little stimulation. Take advantage of it learn some new positions. Try a toy. Good Luck .

some do it for ideas
others do it because they are not getting any
others just enjoy looking at other people
as long as it is not affecting your sex life in a bad way who cares let him have his fun maybe you could try watching it with him if you don't like it let him spend time by himself watching and go shopping when you get back you'll both be ready for some

Not true as i hate porn for many reasons, but for the main reason it desensitizes your ability to feel emotions and gives you a false mental image of reality. sure fantasy is great as long as done in moderation but too much of anything can rot the core of many things.
