ya, it think it is. just because you like the girl doesn't mean you have to go beating up the girl's boyfriend she will:
1. hate you for a very long time
2. never speak to you
3. never forgive
4. think your the biggest jerk ever!
other options:
1. just talk to her.
2. try to join some club or group or whatever she's in after school
3. make comments about her AND her boyfriend (she'll love you for that and the boyfriend will not mind you hanging with her.)
4. tell her you like her but is open to her liking whoever she wants (this will increase the amount she likes you therefore after breaking up with her boyfriend will go straight to you!)

I would say yes, largely because that it is unlikely to make the girl in question like you (which I assume is the goal here). Most girls (note that I say most, not all) will not thank you for beating up their boyfriend except perhaps in the circumstances that the boyfriend is, at that moment, involved in physical or sexual abuse of them (and sometimes not even then).
While I don't feel qualified to give you advice on how to win over someone else's girlfriend I am pretty confidant in saying that beating up the boyfriend is one way not to do it.

YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Find a different girl. God wouldn't want you to do that!!!!!!! The boyfriend of the girl you like didn't do anything to you. If you beat him up the girl you like will hate you!!!!!!!!! I agree w/ the girl who is above me take anger management classes.

Well if the girl was me i probably wouldn't be that interested if you beat him up just for me. Because if she was with him then she was happy and by you beating him up you didn't respect her happyness.

To me its very bad. But if u r sure it can mek u win that gal then its ok in that sense. however the gal wil even hate you more, power stunt, she wil be afraid of you beating her one day.
