To be inhabited by man.
for all to live In righteousness-and peace with plenty of food, no sickness, no death and no evil influences. To put back what Adam lost.

Asking a question and knowing the answer isn't fair, but I just want to say one thing to anyone that doesn't believe in God.
Faith, love, and hope are things that can be believed in that are greater than yourself. When a religion, any religion, teaches these it will have followers, because it is instinctual to want more than just yourself locked away in a dark box. Some people's religions can be an actual diety or something more human as in sports or Hollywood. Some people choose themseves to worship. It is our duty as a human to faith, hope, and love for something, and the gratest of these is love.

We are here to get to know God so you can spend eternity with him. The origianal plan was for heaven to be here (Adam and Eve , the garden of Eden) and it will once more be restored here at the end of time. Sin entered the world through Adam and Eve and caused God to make another plans for humanbeings. So choose this day who you will serve God or Satan, there are no second chances once you leave this earth. Read His word, The Bible, go to a church to meet Christians. Invite Jesus into you heart to live through you, He is a gentleman and will not come unless you ask in all sincerity.

God’s Wisdom, Love and Power
People may wonder why, if God exists, He doesn’t wave a magic wand and fix things, making or at least influencing everyone so that they do exactly what they ‘should’ do. But God never takes away anyone’s freedom of choice. God’s wisdom is to recognize and respect each soul’s individual identity, freedom and inherent goodness. God shares knowledge – a profound understanding of the dualities and dilemmas of love and hatred, happiness and sorrow, victory and defeat, etc. – but He does not make our choices for us. The soul is free to choose ‘to be or not to be’, ‘to love or not to love’. God’s love strengthens the soul’s will to free itself from the distresses caused by vices such as selfish desire, anger, fear, ego and attachment. God’s power helps the soul to recognize its highest potential and to aim for perfection by practising the art of simple living and high thinking. Such practice by a significant number of souls eventually brings about positive change in the whole of humanity.
When you learn to tune your mind in meditation to the mind of God, then whatever the situation, you always have a source of help and strength to draw upon – an infinite reservoir of power and virtues that is only a thought away

God has sent us to earth so that we can glorify him in following his ways.
It is something like, when we teach our children everything we know and then send them out into the world and hope that they follow the righteous path and then someday they come home, just like when we are done with what we were sent to do, God will call us back home.

God's purpose for earth or people on earth?
God's purpose for people on earth is to witness and tell others about him and how his son came and gave up his life for us but yet rose again. In other words Our purpose is to win souls over to Christ.

well, right now this is Satan's territory, but eventually, God will make a new earth and it will hold the new Jerusalem, which will be heaven, so earth was supposed to be a perfect place where we could all enjoy ourselves and hang out and everything would be perfect, then we screwed up, but ya.

There isn't any god, so it has no purpose for the earth. A better question is, what is the purpose of believing in a god?

Earth is his home, he would really want to have it back. Humans have fallen short of their purpose. Religion is man made. How would you feel if some one derailed your life's work?

I know he created us because he loved us...and he created the earth for us...and the purpose of our lives is glorifying the Lord...so that's probably it...glorifying him...anyways i am just happy he did=)-----i ain't sure though...it could be just that the earth is to serve us...those who God created because he loves.
