The next God will incorporate all existing religions into one. It will be known as God, Inc.
Just like religion, God Inc will be governed by people. Just like God, He will be puppeted by people.

The next God will be the God that lives in our minds, our emotions, our physical bodies, our spiritual bodies. We as humans just have to keep searching become the visionaries we were meant to be.

I would like to think that humanity will get sufficiently educated, mature, and rational that belief in supernatural agencies and deities will no longer be necessary.
If that isn't possible, then I would suggest a deity that is all compassionate, all merciful, and that encourages us to take control of our lives and of our world, to be responsible caretakers of each other and of our environment. Perhaps this deity would emphasize compassion, kindness, tolerance, and celebration of all people and all their differences and similarities. Perhaps this deity might even be loving and nurturing, and urge us to practice forgiveness rather than judgement.
