My question is what religion doesn't bring peace to your heart and make you a better person? There are thousands of religions, who's to say which is right or wrong. I think the only wrong religion is one one that teaches laws against man, nature and animals. Thanks for the q hun

I think all religions are a little bit wrong, or else there wouldn't be different religions, because we'd all gravitate toward the right one.
Some people find the one that seems to work best for themselves and are fine with it, like you seem to be, while others find the one that works best for them and decide that if another religion works best for you, that means there's something wrong with you. But what they don't understand is that when we interact with Divinity, it isn't in English, or in Arabic, or Latin, but rather in a manner that defies human language--so all sacred texts are approximations, works in translation.
So yeah, you're wrong, because we all are, because no one can be right all the time. But you're also right, and the more you seek the truth--and the more openly and honestly you seek the truth--the more right you will be, over time.
Blessed be.

A lot of Christians seem to demand that someone should do lip service to Jesus in order to be saved.
What I've found personally is sort of the opposite...The more I discover about Jesus, the more he seems to embody all the things I consider right and good... even if those are things I am personally not "good at" yet myself or have trouble doing.
So it's not an issue of forcing myself to believe in Jesus, per se, and more of an issue of somehow finding a way to accept the fact that -- while I have good intentions most of the time -- I'm still a fallible guy who doesn't embody everything I believe to be true.
But even in that, Jesus embodies grace for me. He's still the model for who I want to be.
Anyway, if you are able to deeply love your family and your kids and other people, and if you have a passion for setting aside your own desires in order to do what is best for others, then you and Jesus have a lot in common already. You're already on that track.
Why not embrace him?
Blessings on you for the good you already do...

Good people die everyday right, and even many more will die today and tomorrow, if there is one. Not because they are good they do not suffer and die from murder, starvation etc. God says that if you do not accept the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ you will not have apart in His kingdom. Then if you are such a good person why is it so hard for you to accept Jesus, why would you rather choose something or someone else than him? The BIble also says that there is a path that seems right unto a man but it leadeth to destruction.

If what you do makes you feel good and better in God's eyes (if that is what you believe) God looks at our hearts not our actions. For example, a man does all these good things in the church, helps out his family, treats everyone real nice, everybody has good things to say about him. But behind everyone's back for years he kidnapped girls, raped, brutally tortured and killed them. This is a true story on the crime library forum. A wolf in sheeps clothing, the family and church people I'm sure were shocked because he "was such a good man, he helped us when we needed him yada yada" That is why God looks at the heart not what we do or don't do.

If a religion brings peace to you heart then God Peace to you.
It just wont get you to heaven. That is not The Way God has proscribed.
Religion, by whatever name, is man trying to controle whatever god he has made up. And trying to decree to others that they should follow whaever that god says. Even if that god is mearly Peace in the heart. There are a near infinit number of false gods in our mortal lives... But only one God the Creator.
From my Christian Faith pov
Those of the Christian Faith(not those who claim to be) do not follow any "religion"

I hate telling people that their religion is wrong, so I never do. Nobody wants to hear that! I just know that my Lord is the one who will say to His Father something like, "She acknowledged Me and proclaimed My name. She should enter into the kingdom of heaven." He'll say that about all Christians who do that. But at the Great White Throne Judgement (sounds like something out of The Lord of the Rings!) He will judge those who did not acknowledge or accept Him, and even if you're a good person... you know the rest.
I had to tell you that, even if you didn't want to hear it.

religion is not something that suppost to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Its not about being a good person. Its about accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. That is the only way you can go to heaven. Jesus said that "it is not by works so that no one can boast, but it is by faith throught Christ Jesus that you have been saved." We are all sinners and that is why we need to accept the free gift of salvation from God. Only through Jesus can we be saved.

I love how everyone is quoting the bible, but in the same text it also condones the selling of daughters as well as slavery. I believe that as long as you believe in your religion, whatever it may be, that it is just fine. Keep living your life to the fullest!

Its not wrong, I actually believe that all religions have one key uniting factor, and that is a stronger of many gods or one god, that god is the same thing. I believe that all people are gods children and no religion is wrong as long as it brings you happiness and joy.
