no, i have never seen and probably never will see a logical answer.
and i agree with your premise. there are a whole slew of ridiculous commands in the book of leviticus, but they ignore most of them and focus a lot of their time on what is probably the bible's most ridiculous dictate: that gay sex is wrong.

Let me try to give you a reasonable answer, but I think there's 2 answers. The short answer is that we shouldn't. The Bible is the inspired word of God and it provides us with answers on how we should live our lives while here on earth. Our sinful nature wants us to hold onto sinning and the Bible tells us not to, so our sinful nature tells us to ignore that passage.
The people who read The Bible and BELIEVE parts and not others are completely wrong. The entire Bible is correct and valid for applying in our lives. Some parts of The Bible have been fulfilled and no longer apply to our lives. An example is the old Jewish custom of sacrificing animals at the altar. That practice is irrelevant because Jesus died for our sins.
I hope that helps

Because it is a question that could take an entire book to answer. Here is a brief idea, from the best of my knowledge..
Because there are so many different religions all believing a different version of the Bible because they have changed it so many times. (In fact, at one time they all voted on the content of the Bible.) This being said, there are some un-answered holes that are filled in with philosophy...but still need to be supported by the Bible. So, they pick and choose to make their beliefs relevant.

First of all, it is almost impossible to have the entire Bible memorized, so of course they are going to use parts of the Bible, especially when talking about it to people.
Second, we use only bits and pieces because there is so much material to talk about. Little bits at a time
Third, the Bible can be hard to read sometimes. So if it hard for us to read, do you really think you will enjoy talking to someone who knows the entire Bible? I don't think so.
Fourth, there are parts of the Bible that stick out to people more than others, just like different books appeal to different people. So people are going to use their favorite parts of the Bible to talk about.
I don't think they ignore the rest of the Bible.
I hope this helps answer your question.

Most Christians are very close minded people, They refuse to believe anything will contradict thier own beliefs even if it is the bible. I myself have read the bible over and over and I used to be very close minded but once i really started looking into the History of where the bible actually came from I stopped believing in it and saw it more like a book of Fairy tales and positive stories.

Not all Christians do that. I as a Catholic use the entire Bible. Of course you have to know how to read and understand the Bible and how it was written. Also certain things in the Old Testament were made null and void by Christ's teachings.

Its hard in this format because a lot of the time they think a question about the Bible is an attempt to mock them, their faith, and the Bible, and their God.
Most think they are fighting trolls.
My advice is look for those Christians who do give good answers and try and work with them.
To me its a mythology. To them its their entire world.

Why don't you use all the food in your house to make a cake? simple the recipie does not call for it all. When I am asked questions I quote the part of the bible that best answers the question. Sometimes its one verse other times its a different verse.
Not all verses come into play at all times. some verses are better left to self meditation

Yeah, yet see, He does it in approaches you does no longer assume. Like one infant in Rwanda receives to proceed to exist, so someone became praying someplace and that child survives at the same time as some hundred others did not, see? And if he saved all of them we ought to easily take him with no interest, it really is why there is tragedies to save us on our feet and praying. of direction he likes us more effective positive, even if, cos he places food on Usafbrat's table and shall we thousands and thousands starve elsewhere, inspite of in the journey that they do pray. There you bypass! Weftmeist is conscious thousands of human beings whose prayers were responded! you won't be able to assume him to have wide-spread all the thousands and thousands whose prayers weren't. awaken out of that darkness, the Holocaust wasn't so undesirable inspite of each thing!

This raise the question if the bible is really authentic. My own believe that it was changed many times according to conditions, and Paul wrote half of it although he never met Jesus! How could he do that, who gave him the permission and on what bases? Why Barnabas was removed? Why there are so many contradictions.

If you study the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses you will not have this problem. They teach Bible truths thoroughly with great effort on their part at no cost to you. To know what the Bible teaches or for a free home Bible study visit www.watchtower.org for more information.
