life is about making your inner beautiful, so that you are remembered and valued by others. Just think of a computer, it has a body and a software in the form of different programs. If you buy a computer having bad software because of its outer looks , you will throw it after few days or months. But if you have a computer with good software but average look, you would keep it and remember it, because it will be a useful computer. So your inner or soul is the software. Make it strong by doing good things, helping others and cherish good moments. Feel the difference between pleasure and happiness in life. Your body gives you a feeling of pleasure but your soul gives you happiness.

No, no, no the perfect body is a myth. ask those who are anywhere close on how many fun things in life they miss, they cannot even enjoy a icecream forget life, when people are busy making love and lives they are busy worrying about their oh so perfect bods, see after a certain age your partner cares two hoots about how u look and is more interested in who u r. so if life right now feels like that do not let it mislead u or u'll be in a mess. be healthy and enjoy life, without it your body would be of no use to nobody, 'm fat and know it well

In alot of ways yes. I can totally see how you can get this idea! The magazines are full of bone skinny models, beautiful faces, and perfect everything. The fitness magazines are even doing it. I wrote one just last week and let them know what I thought about it, get real! Place some real people in there that have kids and that are trying to work out,and trying to stay healthy.
The tv is even worse than the magazines. Have you noticed? Perfection is all around us, and it takes real focus to be happy with who we are, because nobody is telling us to do this. They're all saying we need to look like this or that, or buy this to look like this or that. We will need to be strong in this world to be happy with who we are and what we have. I think you're right, and many women are feeling this. I work in a health club, and I have women all the time coming in to my office to want to lose weight, and most of them look just fine. Alot of shallowness and wrong priorities going on. I was born and raised in California so I can say this is true lol
Try to ignore it, it's getting ridiculous.

Life is about sitting in a quiet room and being content. What makes you happy? What do you think about to put a smile on your face? The body gets old and ugly...that can't be what makes a person happy. And, happiness is what life is about. Too many people focus on the wrong thing. If we have to live on this earth for 70 or 80 years, how should we live it? I want to experience all the sunsets, the waves of the ocean, the peaks of the mountains, the sand on my feet, the smell of a good pizza. Those make me happy. That is what my life is about.

In some ways it is right because to have a perfect body most people eat right, maintain a healthy weight, exercise, have few bad habits like smoking, and in general have a healthy lifestyle. The side effect of this is that like people seem to associate with like people so it keeps them the same.
On the flip side, it is not healthy to be obsessed with perfection and sometimes results in a person being shallow.
All in all however its to your benefit and health to strive to be healthy and not overweight etc.

It may feel like it sometimes. When you find things in your life that truely make you happy, you won't feel that way anymore. I felt like that a lot when I was younger. I certainly do not have a perfect body, but I am happy with it and happy with my life. In fact, I think I am happier than the people around me that DO have perfect bodies.

The world tells us with media that this is all there is, however, I personally am a Christian and my life is about so much more. I do not have to have name brand, a perfect physiche, perfect make up to have a full and happy life. We all have bad days and feel that way occationally, but you have to focus on the blessings. Life, health, love, family, good food...etc.

That is definitely not what life is all about. Although to some people it is all that life is, because they are under the illusion that that is what will get them by in the world. Unfortunately, the media and society play right into all that.

For some, that's what they base their life decisions on.
But, if all one lives for is material things and one is full of pride and vanity (it amounts a rather empty existence), then one cannot expect anything good, in the hereafter. The body is only to be another tool, to aid us in attaining eternal bliss. If we use it for sin, then it works against us.
