Odd, isn't it, how Jesus addressed some of these 'sins' and left out others? He talked about adultery (in detail), idolatry, blasphemy, murder and keeping the sabbath, but never got around to the rest... unless, of course, his 'love one another' and 'don't judge' warnings pertained to acceptance of victimless "sins" such as homsexuality.

Many Christians seem to believe that Jesus personally condemned homosexuality, but that came from Paul - who never met Jesus and never discussed law or morality with Jesus. That didn't stop Paul from taking over Christianity and tweaking it to suit his own personal prejudices, e.g. his attitude toward women.

If Christians are going to follow Paul they should try very hard not to marry, and if they do marry, they should avoid sex if possible, and all these female televangelists should shut up, go home and let their husbands tell them what to do.

How many Christian women wear make-up, for example? Paul (who hated gays in the NT) wrote:

"I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;...Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." (1 Timothy 2-)

Also: "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." (1 Cor 34-35)

Capital Punishment is Immoral. All life is sacred. Life must be protected from conception until natural death. Jesus's death on the cross taught us about love. Revenge is never justified. Jesus showed us a different way. He came and replaced the capital punishment law found in the Old Testament. I'm glad the Catholic Church fights against the death penalty.

The levitical laws were apart of the Moses laws that were nailed to the cross Col 2. However, the ten commandments remain today. The punnishments you listed were apart of Moses laws. When Jesus came he said that we should forgive each other 70*70 and have compassion and if someone smite you and one cheek give them the other. So we should follow what Jesus came to teach us, remember Moses laws were against us Deut 31 and Jesus came to free us. We should therefore love Jesus and follow his commandments (all ten).

I learned as a child that if you work on sundays, you will be ridiculed, tortured, forced to bear your cross down the main street, hung out to dry, then stabbed between the ribs. But people still work on sunday. I used my phone last sunday which meant somebody was out there working and it was all my fault. I live in fear that I am constantly sinning.
