I have been a Canadian all of my life. We are basically a peace loving nation. One of our prime minister came up with a UN peace keeping force that tries and keep an eye on uncontrol situation in many countries before they become a war. Another thing is that we don't get involved in conflicts we know we can't win ie the Vietnam War. On a whole Canadians don't feel their government federal and provincally don't do enough for them. Even though we do have free medical care that's going the way of the dodo bird. On the whole Canadians live a lay back sort of life style in the shadow of the great American Eagle. And if you do talk to a Canadian in between the ages of 40-100 don't mention the avro arrow that was best airplane ever developed for it's time in Canada in the early 60's but the plane and plans for making further planes were destory. I wonder who didn't want to get ahead of them as a military nation?

I am a Canadian and I think there are subtle differences between Canadians and Americans. They live in a country that is a world power and Canada seems to always be in the shadows.
I would like to see our country move forward and be more agressive on some world issues . Lets face it we are on the same continent and are affected by most of the same things.
I love Americans and I have a daughter and 3 grandaughters who have chosen to be Americans. I also love Canadians.
I think that the only big difference between us is that damn border!

I am canadian~ I find the biggest difference in Canadians and Americans is the accent. It's hard to say about the mannors because everyone is different and that is stereo typing. There are just as many rude Canadians as there are Americans. My husband is a cab driver and takes around a lot of Americans of the cruise ships, he has met just as many wonderful people from the US as he has met rude people. People are people no matter where you are.

Definately nothing but the accent. North Americans rock! You too Hispanics!

Also, many Canadians speak French as well as English. Most Americans only speak one launguage, whether it is English, French, Spanish, whatever. Go bilinguals!

Well, there is really not that much difference between Canadians and Americans. I guess the main difference is just that Americans are armed!
