You do share the room with a bunch of strangers -usually you get to choose how many strangers, though. It ranges from 2 people to 20+, and the less people you have in a room, the more expensive it is. There are usually bunk beds in the rooms, and lockers for your stuff.
It's not so bad, though - the strangers can as quickly become your best friends for one day- that's the great thing about traveling. If you are totally freaked out about sleeping in a room with strangers you should try to find a bed & breakfast or a low budget hotel, but if you are somewhat flexible you should try hostels because you can quickly get used to the conditions.
Also, this is the cheapest option, and if you're planning on going to London or any city in the U.K., price is something you should seriously consider.

It's usually better to share rooms with other travelers. It is an exciting way to meet fellow travelers from around the world. I've made some great friends staying in Hostel's.

many years in the past, I traveled round eire through myself. I stayed in both B&Bs and hostels. all the B&B's were quiet and occasional-fee. I stayed in 3 hostels- 2 in a room through myself and a bath through myself. i guess you in undemanding words ought to envision the hostels to work out if it truly is plausible for you. i became fortunate. in case you do not pick to take a danger and also you're not any further into dorm variety residing, bypass with a B&B- you'll sleep more effective positive.
