I just bought a 95 Cabrio , and I'm curious what the button in between the switches for the rear windows (power windows) is supposed to do? Right now it doesn't do anything that I'm aware of. Any help out there?

Also, are you supposed to attach the front part of the boot (closest to the rear passenger seats) to anything? If I drive around with the boot on it flaps around pretty badly, so I wanted to find out if there was any way to secure it better then just the thing on either side.

GO TO YOUR LOCAL DEALER OR CHECK YOUR OWNERS GUIDE. THE TOP COVER SECURES ITSELF ALL THE WAY AROUND THE FRAME. DON'T LOOSE IT THEY ARE ABOUT 450.00. AS FOR THE POWER WINDOW SWITCH IT IS A SAFETY LOCK. I WOULD GO INTO MORE DETAIL WITH THE TOP COVER BUT I AM OUT OF TIME...

As for the window button, it's probably the child safety lock - when down it disables the rear door window controls, when up, those controls allow rear passengers to adjust their own windows.

I've only had Golfs and not Cabrios, so I'm not sure what you mean about the "boot" and you may want to give more details to your question.
