My boyfriend and I have been dating for two years. In the begining I wasn't as "overprotective" of him, but have became that way because of things he has done to break trust. He is one out of three employees at the camp he works at and it drives me crazy for him to be there hanging out with other girls all day. I know it also has to make him mad that I don't trust him. Is it okay to not want my boyfriend to hang out with other girls or is that being too jealous and how do I fix this and become okay with the fact of him hanging out without girls without thinking he will cheat on me or develop interest in them?

My boyfriend and I were in the same situation. I worked at a camp and he couldn't be there with me all the time. Just keep the communication going, and have him visit you, or you take him out on a date. Ask him about work, but don't get pissed off about work. If you have been together for a long time, and he is cheating on you, it wasn't meant to be. Don't get too heartbroken over something that you are not sure is happening, it doesn't help the trust/situation at all. Accusations may make the actions come true. Yuck.

Trust is the foundation of any good relationship, so I would have to ask what he has done to break your trust. In the end though trust is a leap of faith. You are either trusting him and assuming that no matter what he will not cheat on you/hurt you, etc. or you do not trust him and are living in fear that he will cheat the first chance he gets. (In my opinion, a lousy situation.) But just because a guy is working with girls, etc. does not mean that he is going to cheat. By the same token he could be with only other guys all day and still go looking when he's not with you.

Honestly if you don't trust him now you won't trust him later if you decide to get married. My wife is the same way and it has caused 8 years worth of heart ache. I'm not interested in the girls I have to work with and he probably isn't interested in the ones he is around either. I really can't say what he would do but this jealousness you feel will only cause more problems the longer you are together. Work it out or go on down the road

You say he has done things to "break trust" but you don't elaborate. If the broken trust came about because he he was with other girls but said he wasn't, then you are probably right not to trust him. In reality though, no matter what he has done to lose your trust it doesn't bode well for the long term health of your relationship. Trust in your partner is paramount in a relationship.

Well, it matters on what kinds of things he did to break trust. If he deserves to not be trusted, talk to him. Maybe geting someone new that you can trust is a better idea.

you'll have to be care full that you don't push him away.you should try and trust him more.sorry to say but,if hes going to cheat on you he will.if he really loves you then hes got no need to cheat.i can see why you'd be jealous.but that's when people do cheat when you don't trust them,some people think,well if she doesn't trust me i might as well cheat.try and trust him more.you'll both feel much better
