Age can play a part in it.
Boys sometimes don't know how to act.
Meaning, they may not even know how to express attraction.
Some guys are full of themselves and don't really express interest in anything.
Some dudes are gay and so in the closet that they think they need to have a girlfriend, but really want her brother.
Some men only want you sexually, so they say they want you, but don't care what you have to say.
Some guys think it's the right thing to do to tell someone they are attractive.

When a guy says he like you, you should say prove it
therefore you wouldn't have this problem, but some people just say that to either 1. make someone else jealous, 2. they really like you but they're shy, or 3. just like as a joke, most likley it's 2 but you never knoww!

Always listen to the behavior NOT the words. People will say anything to get what they want. Behavior is a lil harder to fake.
So IMHO, he's just trying to sleep with you.

One of two things 1 he just wants to get laid or 2 he doesn't know how to express himself. most of the time it is the first one though.

Probably because he's nervous. You might be his first true girlfriend and he doesn't know what to do or how to do it. Trust me with my first girlfriend I was as nervous as can be. ( I don't know why cause it's not that hard to treat a girl nicely.)

he is not romantic type he dont act like it or He does not really like you like you think.
