In the Standard-examiner, B section, it is reported 600 disable state citizens may lose benefits. The state is $3.4 million short of what they need. Why are we spending so much on illegals and forgetting our own people's suffering.
On the front page of the same paper, the story is all about how a man who had been deported because he was illegal lost his Supreme Court fight to stay here. The writers of the story worked really hard to make us feel sorry for them....yet, where are the tears for 600 disable people who are U.S. Citizens? Our media is out of whack.....but it's OK for American Citizens to struggle. Just don't be mean to the poor illegals. Gimmeabreak!

Yeah the illegals are part of the problem because they are stealing all of our resources. They are breaking the law to be here and this country rewards them. The rights that are suppose to be enjoyed by citizens and those here legally and being given freely to the illegals which is completely wrong. They should not be entitled to welfare, medical assistance, access to public schools, etc. Law enforcement is very hesitant to do anything about it as well as INS and other government agencies. The laws on the books need to be enforced and these people need to be deported. Let's put armed US troops on the borders and keep them out. Additional, this would also help to deter the drug problem coming across the border as well. If anyone is here illegally and don't like what I am saying, well tough luck. This is my country. I am a citizen. You are breaking the law to be here and have no say in anything. If you want to stay here then enter the country legally.

I did work in health benefits. This is happening many places. The disable are hit the most-the elderly next. Foreigners "get" the most (had a purpose in the beginning). And Families get the second most (singles, foreign, ect)It is a point system on forms.
It is sad we do not take care of those here. And our States systems have felt a big strain because of Illegals. Hospitals have closed for this reason. It is not the peoples fault-these benefits are open to them.
But it is sad that ours can not get the help they need because others are using the benefits up first.
Why others feel that is OK-I don't know.

Chris Canon was told by the Republican party not to expect to be nominated again - that's how. 3 million is nothing to a state they can make or borrow that just fine.
And the part about the reporter trying hard to make you feel bad for them - you can recognize that as Journalistic Bias. The press is trying to make up your mind without you doing it for yourself. Now your smart enough to see that, congradulations.

In celebration of it, I'm going to write my congressman again, and relay your attitude to them and why you should not get away with breaking our laws - guess what, we all pay taxes too - and we still have to follow the law!
