does anyone agree that a huge first step in acheiving some peace in the world is to first all obtain a common langauge,?

No; language is part of what makes us unique. We can overcome the language barriers. If that were such a problem though, why don't we fix the bigger problem first which is to make people not so greedy and overbearing which is never going to happen, therefore I think most of the countries could be at peace, but not all the countries in the world at once. Unless we had God here on earth, I don't believe we will have world peace.

I don't know about that. I'm for world peace as much as the rest of you. But i don't want to loose the diversity of the world and all the different cultures. Everyone knowing english, french or ketchi will just make us a boring. And even if we all had the same language... we won't all have the same beliefs. I think a huge step in world peace is having each person in the entire world, understand, appreciate and practice...RESPECT.

I don't believe that we should limit the rest of the world to only one language.
And I for one do not believe that world peace is possible by an y means because the ignorance of man is too great to conquer.

That has already been achieved.As we all know that English is the universal language.Anyway your intentions are really good and I have to tell you it is really intentions like these which can fuel a high purpose like that of world peace.The world needs more people like you
