First you need to understand that saying "the Jews betrayed Jesus" is not correct. Members of the Sanheidren (a select group of elders in Jerusalem, not all of which supported the crucifixion) were the ones that saw to the crucifixion, not all Jews. Oh, and Judas too...
While Peter did not "betray" Jesus, he did deny Him three times. Betrayal? Maybe, but I won't argue that.
I am not Jewish, and yet I have betrayed Christ as I sin in daily life. Yes, there are serious consequences and fortunately Christ has covered those consequences (and that's soooo coool!)
To say that "the holocaust" was caused by the betrayal of Christ on part of the Jews is an extremely incorrect, judgemental, harsh, and/or close-minded statement. I'm going that you simply made an incorrect statement because you don't have all the knowledge of what went on during those times.
But it is incorrect statements like these that can lead to anger and hatred. So please, be sure of your assumptions when you ask your questions lest some become agitated and angered.
And if you don't know the facts, then... ASK! That's what this forum is for!

How can you say the Holocaust was due to .... God being mad at the Jews. There were so many other innocent people that died as well. Were the children responsible for Jews betraying Jesus? Were the Catholics? How about those with mental disabilities? These people were also killed during the holocaust.

Madam,
I am not 2,000 years old. I am guilty of none of that. Collective guilt is a concept championed by the Nazis and other degenerates.
Neither are any of my relatives, that old nor guilty of any such thing. . Remember that some of the Romans were involved in that murder too. Romans have descendants, they are called Italians. Why were they never persecuted?
There was no justification for the holocaust. That you connote that it was justified is indicative of your lack of humanity, compassion, sense of justice, and good common sense.
I hate to let you in on a little secret. Jesus Christ was a Jew and a Rabbi. Do you think that he approved of all the massacres, murders, amd pogroms conducted in name, by his alleged adherents against so many other people including his own ethnic group and co-religionists?. Do you really believe that he would condemn his people, family, and other relatives and predecessors to Hell. Incidentally there is no Hell whatsoever in Judaism, not for me nor for you. Christianity got that ugly bit of theology from the Greeks (& Romans)
As for serious consequences, and a veiled threat that there will be another holocaust in the future. (it connotes that Christians will do it again. That is another example of your self-fulfilling prophecy. (e.g. predict that a neighbor's window will soon be broken and then heave a rock through it.), Don't count on it. Don't count on Jews meekly going along with it. We now know what Christianity is capable of (those 1940's Jews could not believe that people could be so barbaric and homicidal in the name of Christ). We will put up a fight and take millions with us. And if necessary Israel has between 200 & 400 nuclear weapons. Clad all of them in cobalt jackets Detonate them & nothing will be left alive, or capable of life for 50,000 years. Turning the other cheek is a Christain concept, not a Jewish one.
In other words we will all die go together.

That some do not believe in cause and effect is evidenced by the angry answers you received. Aren’t these the same logical people who worship at the alter of scientific ‘cause and effect’ for everything from evolution to Stephen Hawking’s string theories? As to the cause of the Jews plight in the loss of their country in 70 AD at the hands of Titus and the Roman Empire or the Nazi Holocaust in the 1930’s and 40’s being a direct result or an incidental result of their refusal of Yahusha as their King and subsequently His crucifixion I am not privy; but it is interesting and revealing to see how quickly the "scientific" (and religious) are to discard such a possibility. Why don’t they believe YHVH sometimes works in the world according to their own scientific theories? If they think the holocaust was bad, what will they think of hell once they are there? And more importantly will they believe the ‘effect’ of an eternal hell is a direct result of their own willful, sinful ‘cause‘? I doubt it. Hell just may turn out to be one big, miserable, hot, eternal, self absorbed whiners party, sans the cake. Glad I cancelled my RSVP to that eternal vacation hot spot and now have a better location in which to spend eternity. Cause and effect in play once again.

Wow, you really are racist.... So why aren't the Romans sorry? Crucifixion was a Roman death penalty, not a Jewish one.
So you think the Jews in the 1930's and 40's were punished for what a small group of Jews did in the first decade of AD?
Obsession is a terrible thing to go through. Seek professional help.... Spare no expense.

The Jews didn't "betray" Jesus. They simply stuck close to their faith as Jesus started to drift away and start Christianity. Naturallty, others folowed, and, being uneducated, started to be anti-semetic (portrayed as the young woman who asked the question) because the Jews didn't follow Jesus, therefore, they didn't follow the "one true faith" that is Christianity. The Jews didn't betray Jesus, Jesus betrayed the Jews.
Also, common knowledge shows that the ROMANS crucified Jesus...NOT THE JEWS!!

The Jews (or the majority of them) do not accept Jesus as the Son of God. They refuse to equate Jesus with the Lord of the Old Testament; therefore, in their eyes they have nothing to apologize for. I am not so sure that they should. Jesus came to earth to be crucified for our sins, including the sins of Israel. They were the main players in the story of the passion of the Christ. It is because of their activity against Christ that we have a Lord and Savior in Jesus, that our sins have been paid for and that all of us who believe in the work of Jesus at the cross have an inheritance in the kingdom of God and eternal life. Le's don't be hard on the Jews; after all, Jesus came to earth as a Jew.

The problem with Jewish theology is they teach there is no theophany or Elohim manifestations as humans. This to them eliminates the possiblity of a visible image that would be a representation of all Yahu'eh the Creator is. The Jewish Masora/scribes took the name of Yahu'eh out of the Tanach/Old Testament 134 times because they saw Yahu'eh can be visible for this very reason.

What a highly offensive question.
How can you 'betray' Jesus by having him crucified in any case? Isn't that what he wanted all long? Why aren't you kissing the feet of Judas, Pilate and the Jews for their role in bringing about your personal salvation?
I will never understand this.
