is the hottest topic in this section? We are getting bashed ALL THE TIME, and half of the things that are said are either very broad generalizations or not true whatsoever...

I like learning about different beliefs while I am on here. Can there be a DIFFERENT topic ONCE IN AWHILE??

The problem is with the way Yahoo has this setup. Questions get flushed off the board quickly so people keep asking the same things over and over. The search method is not that great and people do not build on previous questions so again everything gets repeated. In regards to Christianity, there is a set number of common questions (Is Jesus God, How do the NT relate to the OT, What is Salvation, who gets to heaven, etc.). There is a set number of questions that obnoxious people can come up with (because they have no education in religious things, are not very creative, and do not bother to be interesting). There is a set number of questions that anti-Christians can come up with because they have latched on to really crazy false statements, liable, and generalizations.

Personally, I see lots of anti-Catholic stuff on the board which should make even Protestants shake their heads; it is that false. However, again there are common misconceptions and you deal with them when they come up.

What would be really nice would be for Yahoo to allow each individuals account to block questions by those that we choose. That way we can block all those people who are just chewing up space.

Personally, I really wish there were Eastern Christian's on the board (either Catholic or Orthodox). Now those are interesting questions and discussions. Debate over issues is also very edifying.

Funnily enough, as a Christian, I have gay friends and non-Christian friends. We don't have disagreements over these differences.

We've taken the time to get to know and respect each other for who we are. We even pray or think good vibes for each other, according to our beliefs. It encourages me to know that someone other than a Christian has my best interests at heart.

What does this mean? That for all the hollering here about Christians being close-minded, there are some of us who are open-minded. Shocking, isn't it?

There are other ways to find out about different beliefs. Why would you want to listen to some stupid people who have nothing better to do than sit at home and answer questions on Yahoo? If you REALLY want the truth, you'll find it.

By posting this question you are adding fuel to the fire.

Instead you can do your part by posting questions on other topics to get the ball rolling, and by not bringing up the topics you want to go away.

Many people just don't want to hear the truth or are ashamed of it because they know it convicts them on their unrighteous way of living, which is why they strike out at it because they just don't want to hear the truth. But what they don't realize, is that no matter how hard they strike out and ridicule it and try to silence it, the more we will pronounce the truth and the bolder we will become

It seems to be going in circles at the moment - one night it's evolution vs creationism, then its homosexuality, then it's dinosaurs then back to evolution vs creationism again.

Where are all the original, tought-provoking questions - and why can't I think of any?!

I like how you want there to be topics other than Christianity.....and yet that's what you make your question about.

not gonna happen, cause no other religion is in your face day in and out trying to convert you and getting personal, when you say 'thanks, but no thanks'.... no other religion has the audacity to pray for me without me asking for it..... back off and they will back off..... it is as easy as that
