I believe it would be somewhere in Southeast asia or Southwest asia. Any of those country that had a prior believes in multiple gods. Because in some asian countries the word shama is a short name for the one who is likened or the one who shares.

I think it's Indo/Pak but I believe it originated from the Middle East. It means "flame" in Urdu/hindi (spoken in Pakistan and India respectively) but i'm not sure what it means in Arabic. I knew someone named Shama who was Saudi, that's why I think it's originally Arab.
