They have dates that are a sell by date, most companies will agree that you can use them after that date, but do not recomend it. Things that are not refridgerated are better then things that are in the fridge. You should take it with a grain of salt, but worst case it will be state. Good luck and run down to the market and buy some new food!!!!

A lot of people don't realize that the "best if used by" date on the package is only a suggestion. On name-brand products, the companies will pull the stock a few days in advance of that date. What do they do with that stock? It gets repackaged and ends up in stores like Grocery Outlet, or the dollar stores with new dates on them. As a general rule, if stored properly, a product can remain good for up to two weeks after the "BIUB" date. Just taste it and see if it's alright.

I would not eat anything after the "Best Before" date, because some of the ingredients may spoil. And if vitamins are what you are looking for in the energy bars they may not be as potent. Hope this helps.

Dairy products, I definitely wouldn't trust unless it was sealed still.
The expiry date is just something the manufacturers put on the products as a guideline, it doesn't necessarily mean the product is bad that exact day, it could be bad before or it could be bad a couple days later.
And just b/c something smells ok, doesn't mean that it is, it maybe is just on the verge of becoming smelly, but the bacteria is still there.

It varies with the individual food. Individually wrapped energy bars could be good for up to a year if not exposed to extreme temperatures or moisture. Try it and see what you think; it is not going to kill you.

Maybe about a week to 2. But it depends. Canned foods can last a longer time.

Yuck! I wouldn't recommend eating ANYTHING after the expiration date. I don't eat anything that's even close to the expiration date.

I think they should be okay to eat, as long as they're sealed properly. You should eat them fairly quickly, though. You could get sick from eating expired food.
