First off, you better know your cars inside and out, if you can't diagnose mechanical faults by sight and sound, and repair them yourself, your about to loose your money.
I buy from the local papers, watch for cars that have been advertised for awhile, when you make contact ask if they will negotiate on the price, do a thorough inspection and use repairs as a haggling point, I usually aim to knock 1/3rd off the price, and when you get it home you will find even MORE faults, get the car back on the market quickly, cars can devalue overnight.

leave auction's and e-bay alone, you need to test drive and do a thorough inspection, every $ you spend on repairs is lost profit.

I have been buying, repairing, then selling cars for 25 years, I buy them with accident damage and repair them for sale, I often advertise for the cars I want, IE popular models.

I stopped doing it full time 10 years ago when there was a slump in the used car market and I had to sell cars for less than what they owed me.

Yes, I have been looking for a high end, luxury sports car seller in the S.E. Asian market. I specialize in Ferrari's used or damaged, or other luxury makes. I am willing to work with a novice as long as the payments are put in trust accounts here in the U.S. and then shipment can be made to you. I do not accept any companies of unknown origins and will work only through known U.S. export processes.
