Some do. The United Methodists are fine with it and so are the Unitarian Universalists.
And yes, of course its love. Don't listen to them!!!

Well I for one believe that God, yes I said God, created marriage to be between a man and a woman. Not a man and a man or a woman and a woman. Obviously if he wanted it to be the same sex in a marriage, reproduction could occur with a man and a man or a woman and a woman. He created Adam and Eve and not Adam and Steve. I just think that marriage should be how God intended it and that is why I don't support it. I would not try to stop someone from getting married if they wanted to marry the same sex because that is between them and it is not my life.

The Christian Scriptures, in their original Greek do not contain any clear references to consensual homosexuality within a committed relationship, and certainly do not contain any unambiguous condemnation of gay and lesbian sexual activity. However, after having been filtered through the belief systems of the translators, many English versions of the Bible clearly condemn homosexual behavior. Now that the famous "anti-homosexual" passages of 1 Corinthians 6:9 and Romans 1:18 have been so long identified as being critical of homosexual activity, it would be impossible for Bible translators to offer alternative explanations; their Bible wouldn't sell.

simple. In the bible, it is clearly stated that God frowns on homosexuality. It is taught that marriage is a sanctity for a man and a woman, only. I am a christian, and in my personal opinion, I agree. I honestly dont know what I would do if I knew a gay couple, or what I would even say. The bible-abiding christians do not believe it is right. And yes, alot of christians think it is not love, its sin.

True Christians recognize and celebrate love. Pharisees who *call* themselves Christians use their religion, not as a source of spiritual comfort, but as a bludgeon with which to abuse and denigrate others. "By their works shall ye know them," as the saying goes. Kind, supportive, helpful, making the best of everything? Christian. Mean, judgemental, always out to put others down "because God said I can"? Pharisee. Easy test.

Most religions "officially" do not support this type of marriages whether it be Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism. In fact I can't think of a religion that does support it....and don't say Buddhism, because it's not a religion, it's more of a philosophy. HOwever, some segments within religions support gay marriage or are more supportive and open-minded (i.e. many Methodist congregations, etc.)...Then again, many humanists and atheists do not support gay marriage because they believe that it is not in keeping with nature... who knows...

God gave humans the gift of Marriage. He made Man and woman for each other. Love has to go together with life. Gay people cannot procreate. that is not love. You have to have the ability to create life. Homosexual behavior is immoral and gays should be celibate.

I believe that homosexuals can love their partners almost as much as my wife and I love each other. What i don't understand is how they expect to reach the deepest form of love that only creating a life together can bring. God intended a man and a woman to be together.

The Bible teaches that marriage is for one man and one woman. The Bible also teaches in both the new testament and the old testament that homosexuality is as much a sin as becoming an alcoholic, theif, or adulterer.
