can i get a UK ancestry visa if my great grandfather was born in the UK? if so, how do i begin? and can i work while i'm there?

you can't really attain ancestery you're born with it...?
i think you mean residency?
You can apply at the nearest embassy for a work visa but I don't think you're given special treatment because of it.
