All my life I have had weight problems. when I was born, I was born chubby, like other babies. When I got older and taller, I started to notice that my stomach had gotten bigger and my legs had become wider. When I weighed myself, I couldn't believe it, I was over weight. I told my mom, she told when get taller and taller, I start to become thinner. Now I am on a weight watchers diet and starting to eat less. But, I feel like I won't lose the amount of weight I can get to, what can I do?

First of all - muscle weighs more than fat. So don't watch your weight in terms of pounds. Find a healthy size - the size you are comfortable being and yet still have energy etc.
Talk to a nutritionist and a personal trainer.
Good luck.

Because muscle more weigh than fat I would use a tape measure to keep track of your loss instead of a scale. You have made the first steps towards being healthy which is great. The first thing you need to do is be honest with yourself. Is the weight you want to get to feasible for your height and bone structure? If it is stick with it, it may take awhile but you will get there. If it is not you need to re-evaluate and come up with something more reasonable. Remember weight loss is a marathon not a sprint and if you lose the weight fast chances are it will come back. ( A little known fact about weight that is when you starve, over exercise, or lose weight fast when the weight comes back it cushions itself with an extra 5 pounds)

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if your trying to lose weight, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then your consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. Get a fitness calculator that you can put on your cell phone and computer. This will allow you to easily calculate this formula, log your daily calorie consumption, and log your physical activities.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as white potatoes) and drink lots of water.
Do not try fad diets. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d
*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.
Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training For Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with excellent resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter.
A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness For Dummies”.
*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.
*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues. A good free publication is “Dietary Guidelines For Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”.
*6) Make a life long commitment to good health. A great test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com Look at other areas where you can improve your health. For example, make improvements on the quality of the air you breath. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. eat right. don't overeat. eat healthy. Lift weights. For women this last one is especially true. Because of physiological differences between men and women men bulk up by pumping iron. This is due to high testosterone levels in men. On the other hand women tone up and trim down from lifting weights. This is caused by the high levels of estrogen in their bodies. It is almost impossible for women to bulk up by pumping iron unless they have higher levels of testoserone in their bodies than normal. If these hormones are imbalanced [whether man or woman] than a woman will more than likely have a heavier mustache than normal. And look more masculine as well. In men when this happens they tend to look more feminine. The only other way women bulk up by lifting weights is if they take anabolic steroids. They then in this case also tend to show other male characteristics too. Steroids are not advisable beccause they are dangerous!!!!!!!!!!

Girl you ain't alone. I have struggled with my weight for about four years. But now I have lost weight and feel so much better. Just eat healthy foods and if you want something sweet, make sure the calories are low and it's sugar free. Avoid bread and pasta, spaghetti for a while, drink lots of water. And avoid junkfood, believe me you can do it. Good luck.

If your weight is effecting your health than please by all means change your eating habits. Never say the word "DIET"! Exercise
make sure you eat fresh veggies, fruit, and bake meats. Lay off the sugars!!! Sweeteners (Spleanda) is great in and on everything. Bottom line is change our eating habits and exercise at least 3 times a week. Walk, Work-out and Aerobics. Obstacle are what you see when you take our eyes off your goals. Make it your goal to change your eating habits. Change your way of thinking as well. Make sure you understand its your health that matters...Not people(s) opinion of you. Take care of yourself and God will take care of the rest.

This is what has worked for me ...I drop all sweets fried fatty foods, i walk on my treadmill plus ride my stationary bike. Walking is a great source of exercise...if you have a walking track near where you live start walking a little each day...also drink plenty of water...No to Gatorade and other sport drinks for they are all high in sugar and sodium. If you have a friend that is willing , then walk together it helps you to stay motivated.

go on the low-carb diet. Find yourself a boyfriend. It should make you feel better about yourself if you are dieting and exercising, and you have a boyfriend.
