Does anyone out there know how to cope with the lose of 2 children and your husband? My two year old twins, Annika and EvaLyn, both died in the same fire that killed their father. He was trying to get them all out safely. Me and my 6-year old daughter, Cameron, were out of town visiting family. Now it is just the two of us : (

Right now we are living in my new apartment in New York City. Our old house was in Long Island. Cameron is always asking if we can go visit our old home site. I don't want to but, it really helps her when we do. She dosen't want to go outside and play, or take a walk, or anything. All she wants to do is visit that home site.

I am SO sorry that happened to you. I can't even imagine how you must be feeling right now. But I can tell you that it would probably be a good thing for you to talk to someone about it - a trained grief counselor would be the best - and let Cameron talk to someone as well. There is no easy answer to this and I'm sure you feel guilty because you weren't there, but it isn't something that you can work out in a short amount of time. It's going to take a while for you and your daughter to be okay. There is no time limit on grief, so just let yourself cry when you need to. If you start feeling hopeless or that you could harm yourself, please go to the emergency room right away and get help.

I will pray for your healing!! Good luck to you and your daughter.

before considering going to a family counselor, seek the care of your family (parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, etc.), and your friends. they could not give you the answers to everything, but they can definitely give you all the love you need in this time of grief. and don't forget to pray a lot for strength and guidance.

i will pray for you and your kid. God bless.
