okay, not all of those things, addiction maybe; because genetically it is proven that addiction can be passed down, and poverty maybe; becuase if one generation is poor, it's harder for the next to prevail. however, "inherited curses" cannot be passed down from generation to genertaion just because they were not repented off.

Those afflictions that you mention are not curses but are symptoms of ones enviroment. It has been proven that if a person possess the willingness to overcome a situation they will beat addictions, poverty, illigitimacy ect. There was a story on t.v not long ago about a man that was a drop out, homelss and all that came with it. He made up his mind to better himself and now he is a very prominent investment broker making 6 digits a year, he is also a african american. He overcame every single obstacle that was thrown at him. It is only passed down if the "poor me, I am owed" attitude is passed down.

They are not curses and cannot be repented but overcome.

I do believe that you inherit family curses but most of the ones that are addictions are part of the mental conditioning of the family member themself. Meaning, just because your mother or father was an alcoholic doesn't mean you will end up like them but through the eyes of a person who think they will become an alcoholic, it is all in their mind. Other curses can be passed down but you can be the one to over come them. It is all about mental conditioning, what you are used to. If you are used to a average life, which is fine, and don't want to do anything to change it, then you might end up like other family members. What you do with your life is your choice, not your long line of relatives and bad decisions.

I believe there is scripture "sins of the fathers will be passed to the third and fourth generations" which includes a lot of stuff, hereditary diseases, alcoholism, poverty, etc. I believe something as simple as swearing at a bad driver, or even just saying "you eat that and you're gonna get fat" is a form of curse. Words, all words, have power. Speak in love, people.

From a psychological perspective, yes.
Most people are products of their environment. Most people that have good lives come from well adjusted homes without all the mind games.
One example is a child that misbehaves. Quite often this is because they don't get attention from their parents. Then they start looking for ways to get it, then have belligerent responses when they get negative attention.
Social interaction is first learned at home. Then when the surroundings change, i.e., day care or school, then what you learned at home will affect how you interact with others in your new environment.
I wouldn't say it is necessary to repent, but if something is not satisfying a person emotionally, then being aware of why not is what could lead to a positive change.

YES, don't get scarred now.Nothing can overcome you if you resist.
DNA can be messed-up and passed down, it's in the Physical REALM, and it can be sad. But anything can be overcome with the right attitude, and in all kind's a ways!!!
I think what you are talking bout' is the Spirit's (Angel's that were kicked out of HEAVEN and give us HELL).
They follow the Family Line (alcoholism, sexual-addiction, poverty etc.) and that take's alot of understanding (Knowledge) and the ability to use that Knowledge (Wisdom) JUST RESIST, not every-body in a Family that has Alcoholism in it become's an Alcoholic----we ALL have Free-Will.
Resist the Devil, and he will flee!!! THEN LEARN SOME MORE and RESIST HARDER, then LEARN SOME MORE and RUN the Devil out!!!!!!(Family, friend's, neighbor's----the WORLD!!!!)
Thanky-JESUS!!!!!!

No. These aren't 'inherited curses'. It does mention somewhere that really bad sins can be 'visited unto the third and fourth generation'. However a sin is a sin and has nothing to do with DNA.

A sin is veering away from the right path. If you do something that seriously causes you to deviate from the path, then that mistake may be perpetuated in what you teach your children, Misconceptions learnt early on from your parents are VERY difficult to put right, believe me. There is no magic in this world except that which we choose to believe in.

We are all products of your environment, however, genetics play a big role as well in what shapes us. It's proven that addictions and poverty run in families - even in cases where a child was adopted out or was otherwise forced to grow up away from his parents. These things are not curses, they are medical, psychological, and sociological issues and as such their solutions lie in science.

Yes, the bible says the sins of the father will be visited upon the sons for 7 generations. Not that it is impossible to have a different life than your parents did but we live what we learn and that makes change very difficult.

I believe many characteristics can be written on the genetic code by behavior, and then passed on to descendants. What you have then are proclivities, tendencies--not fate or curses. We can all transcend our particular genetic pool; that's the beauty of free will. But if we have a certain inherited weakness, it can be a real challenge.
