Dynamat is the wonder (but expensive) cure. Just a thought have you checked the license plate? Is it securely and tightly bolted using all 4 screws? I know this seems simple but my X was in the car audio business for years. And this was a major issue. Makes a world of difference. They would always just go around the vehicle inside and out while it was playing and touch different areas where ever the vibration sounded to see if the vibration muffled any when held down. Alot of the times its the simplest things that make the most vibration

I would recommend placing Dynamat through all areas of the trunk. The trunk lid, behind the panels of the trunk on the body panels, and behind the license plate.

There is a product called Dynamat that will absorb unsightly (soundly) vibration....
You should really fix that before I see you drive by and laugh at you

Any reputable car audio dealer should have dynamat or an equivalent.

sparky is right.....go to crutchfield.com the dyno mat will help but its not going to get rid of all the rattle. My trunk rattels like there is no tomorrow but I dont care it sounds good and I know it sounds good. I mean, if your in the car with it that loud YOU cant hear the trunk so who cares what everyone outside thinks!!!!

its probably the license plate. try this: get a pizza box. take the plate off and trace it on the box. cut it out, put it on the back of the plate and push the screws through the cardboard. then screw to the back of the car. should get rid of at least half of the rattle.

i would check and see if there is something loose like a bar that holds the engine, this has happened to me before. and see if your tires are in proper alignment
