I don't understand why someone would reject me for my hair color. Doesn't my intelligence, personality, etc. matter? What does it matter if a girl is a blonde, brunette, or redhead?

Human nature. We are designed with features/bodily adornments (hair, eye color...) that are meant to be attractive to the opposite sex. Unfortunately those physical features are the first impression to the opposite sex and hard to overcome if you are attracted to a particular body feature. Human nature is physical attraction 1st and mental attraction 2nd.

Dye it blonde, baby. Blonde, now anyhows, means that she is out for fun. Not necesarily sex, but it means that she is an easy going girl and that she is willing to put her man first. Or just treat him nice. That's what a guy sees when he sees blonde hair. Plus, to be honest, it is just nice to look at..... Don't ask why, ask mother nature.
When women get to an age when they dye their hair blonde they're normally around 30ish and their body clock is ticking like a sledge hammer and they know they have to start being nice to men if they want a baby before their fertility starts to go way down hill at about 35. So when a guy sees a girl of that age with blonde hair, and the corresponding mental attitude- then it's adorable. Just is. Voila.

I wonder who judges by hair color. Ive never heard that, but I have heard guys say they dont like redheads. Maybe somebody is just using you haircolor as an excuse instead of stating the tru reason they're not attracted to them.

A lot of people go on first impressions; and have pre-conceived ideas about a person's personality based on things like hair colour, eye colour and so on. I used to go through phases of liking women with different colour hair and such like, but in the end, I found it more rewarding to judge a person on who they are, not what they look like. On the other hand, they could be using the hair colour thing as a lame excuse, because they're too scared to be honest with you.

The guy that did this to you is shallow. He's a jerk. He's only focused on looks. You don't want him. Plain and Simple. A real man won't care what color your hair is. He'll focus on your intelligence, personality, etc.

I personnaly don't care about looks. The only exception for this that i can find is if it was extreme.(i.e. a rainbow mohawk). Otherwise i would be more interested in the person.

Superficial people have superficial reasoning powers....if they dismiss you because of your hair color....well, they are doing you a favor....you would have found them superficial anyway....

it is their preference...albeit a shallow one...still, i am sure there are physcial traits in men that keep you from dating them
