Pineapple has a lot of sugar, acidity and a digestive enzyme. The comparison after eating it, is really bad, I think it's from the sugar. The enzyme is really good to help you digest though. I would just always save my yummy pineapple until the very end.

Not EVERYTHING. But pineapple is very acidic, so you are right, it does not react well with sweets and dairy products, and can change the taste of other things you eat right afterwards as well. Sometimes that change is good though... it goes very well with chicken, pork, or many kinds of seafood, and also goes well with lots of other fruits and veggies. Try fresh pineapple kebabs on the barbecue, for example, with pork and sweet red bell pepper and onion.

OMG!!! Are you telepathic or something?! I just ate a fruit yogurt containting oats and it had fresh pineapple and after I ate it the plain yogurt tasted really bitter that I didn't get to finish it all! I agree! I thinks its the acidity of the fruit. ;P blah!

Because pineapple is so juicy and good! There's probably some citric acid that throws your tastebuds for a whirl too when trying other things afterwards.... :)
