If Muslims are so full of peace why do the men have so many wives and concubines?

Question

The Musilm men are allowed four wives and the concubines are now the girlfriends where they hope to have secret sex without trouble and relationship. Explain.

Islam used to have a faster conversion to the religion, converting whole nations when it could be seen as the people of God in unity but now too much division amd secularism.

Women in India are being rented on a monthly bases to rich men because there are not enough to go round.

In the past, when all Muslim men goes out to war and fight with the enemies, some come safely back and some dont and leaving their wive and kids behind with nobody to take care them..womens in the past only hopes on their mens to take care of their daily and family needs. So, when this is not possible, the other mens who is financially and physically stable, they can take as up to four wives and the kids in order to help and raise the kids..its not because of lust..its all because sincerity in helping out..

Mens today having extra wives are because the world today full of negative and some will fall is lust trap and Islam prohibit adultery and the marriage is done in away to curb from people generating illegitimate or bad generations for the future..and still also to help the widows or women who comes from poor family..

the intentions is actually good but sometimes there always be a black sheep somewhere and give Islam a bad image..

Actually, four wives is allowed, but not encouraged. One wife is the best. There is no concept of dating or pre-marital relations in Islam. Where in other cultures, people date and have pre-marital relations with way more than just four people (and more on the side) - that is worse. Marriage means responsibility and dating, etc. leaves women sometimes pregnant - with no man to help take care of the family financially.

Four wives are allowed b/c there are generally a larger population of women than men in this world,and if each man had one woman to marry there would still be many women left over - without husbands to provide for their financial/emotional needs. So Allah allowed this, so long as each wife was treated EQUALLY.

Unfortunately, LOTS of people misuse this, b/c going over the limits and using this for self-satisfaction is not the purpose. Being married is a duty, and one has to be loyal and fair to their spouse. Having more than four wives is not permissible, and if a man wants to marry a second wife, then he is to treat EACH wife equally. Which is SO hard to do, and that is why this is one of the conditions - it makes men question whether or not they are capable of practicing polygyny in the first place.

If you are Christian, please remember the prophet Solomon had over 1000 wives, prophet Jacob had 2, prophet Abraham had 2, and others as well. It was mainly to take care of the widows who can not afford to feed their children and who need homes/fathers. Look at society today? How could homosexuality be accepted that destroys society, but reject having more than one wife when that is how our current society came about? If the Bible bans having more than one wife, why do Mormons have dozens when in Islam the most one can have is 4 and rarely happens, but it is criticized. Perhaps the option is open b/c some men can handle it, specially the rules involved, for example, they must all be treaty absolutely equally. It is not easy. Perhaps that we accept Jesus as a prophet only, you try to attack Islam. By the way, according to U.S. polls 60% or more of Americans cheat behind their wives. Godly laws versus manly laws, you can see with your own eyes which one is more successful.

Well, when men went off to war, they could die and their wives would need to remarry. Since there are more women than men left, the widows need to remarry to be supported financially. Women in those days did not usually work (though they were allowed) so their husbands earned the bread. Concubines I have never heard of but sound like an illegal concept.
I think peace has nothing to do with marriage anyway.

I don't see how the two relate. What does having more than one wife have to do with believing in peace? Couldn't a guy have 4 wives and also be peaceful?

I'm not saying I agree with polygamy or that I'm against it, and there certainly are some very violent Muslims out there, but these are two separate issues.

The Islamic religion allows men to have multiple wives but not girlfriends. That would still be considered adultery although the girlfriend is far more likely to be stoned for it than the man. A 5th wife is acceptable but the man must pay for her and it is generally very expensive. It is a sign of great wealth a prestige to have a 5th wife.

well you see the muslim religion is band in to the pac that they still follow the ancient chinese ways of The Qing dynasty which said that many as one man is allowed to have more than one wife if to please. The 20th century is still following this ways because as we might now see it is still happening right in front of our faces , divorces, cheating, . all these are affective. but in muslim religion a women only has many as two things to do pleasure then men with food, and in return let the man pleasure the women with sex

Thats a good reason why i dont believe in Islam, it is not logically consistent. I believe Muhammad was a man filled with lust, and appealed to the natural lust of men. Hence, a heaven filled with virgins and sexual pleasure. Since he had gained credibility, people fought for him because they believed if they died they would have this sensual paradise, and he was able to raid caravans and gain power and wealth.
