I'm scared to sleep at all. I keep dreaming about smoke coming into my room but it stays up at the ceiling. So in my dream I wake up my fiance and tell him to come with me to check the house. We enter another bed room in the house and he looks through some pictures. Then turns to me and says, "Let me find my gun!" looks under then bed and can't find it. Then I scream as I look in the hall and see the nose of the gun. And out of the smoke this guy appears and says, "Here it is." What's it mean please help....

To see smoke in your dream, signifies that some trouble will be entering your life. You are suffering from confusion and anxiety. You are not seeing things clearly

To see a gun in your dream , symbolizes aggression, anger, and potential danger. You may be dealing with issues of passiveness/aggressiveness and authority/dependence. Alternatively, a gun can represent the penis and male sexual drive. Thus the gun may mean power and impotence.

To see a stranger in your dream, symbolizes the part of yourself that is repressed and hidden.

Don't take the dream literally. Look at your interpretation of each of the symbols represented in the dream. Take those interpretations and put them together and see if there is a story that comes from that.

Your definition of smoke.
How do you feel that the smoke is up at the ceiling?
What room do you enter?
Who are in the pictures he looks through?
Your definition of a gun. (i.e. - is it a protection element or is it something used to kill things with?)
Unable to find something - how does that make you feel?
Is it usually kept under the bed or is that location significant?
Define a hallway. (is it a part of the house used to get from one room to another -- or is there a looser interpretation?)
When you see the nose of the gun, is it in a threatening manner or is it being handed over?
Who is the guy who says "Here it is" -- or who does he represent (i.e. who do you think of when you see him?)

Once you figure out your own interpretations to each of those elements, you can begin to piece it all together to figure out what it's trying to tell you. Another thing you can do is instead of waking yourself up completely in a panic...stand up to the guy and say "thank you, we've been looking for that"....and make the dream end in a positive light. You need to visualize a happy ending or it will keep disrupting your sleep.

A fantastic book I found at one point was The Art of Dreaming by Carlos Castaneda. A bit on the spiritual side, but interesting nonetheless....

In any case, good luck and hopefully you'll get through this. :)

The smoke entering your room is a warning, It's a sign to show you that something could be coming your way. That "thing" could be nothing more than someone burning toast, or it could be your entire house engulfed in flames. Keep an eye open for the signs that tell you to be cautious and follow them.

You wake your fiance from slumber to have him check the house with you. This shows that you trust in him to help you through the trouble, and that you want him to be there to protect you from the unknown.

Pictures are almost always related to memories. Something from the past. The fact that your fiance wanted immediately to find his gun, means that he wants to protect you from the past somehow.

You look into the hallway, and from the smoke, comes a man holding the gun. This man embodies your fear. You said you screamed as you saw him emerge holding the gun. This tells me 2 things. 1, You are afraid something from your past is going to come back and bite you in the rear, and 2, You are worried that it's something that your fiance won't be able to protect you from, or that it's something that will harm the both of you. The fact that he could not find the gun and the shadowy figure appears with it, shows me that this piece of history my involve him as well.

The good thing about dreams, is they are just that. You wake up, safe in your bed, and realize that you are safe and sound next to the one you love. You can look to your dreams to help explain your surroundings, or you can look at your surroundings to help explain your dreams.

Hope this helps!

This sort of recurring dream usually suggests it to be one which is not completed.. by having completion, there is usually a pronounced reversal of the response to that dream.. Generally involves someone in the family or, someone very close to you. Need to find a way of releasing some of the stored imprints (in the mind). I have observed these reversals and they actually turn out to be a very pleasant experience. The dream pattern takes on a whole new direction.

Your afraid your losing control, thats what everything in your dream is about insecurity. The smoke and the man with the gun your afraid your going to be let down because its happened before to you, directly your afraid your fiancee is going to let you down. The only way to resolve the issue is to quit hiding the way you feel and talk to your fiancee.

I'm not a pro, but my first thought was you're worried about your fiancee is keeping something from you.
