Go to your place of devotions and prayer with only a bible and yourself and get back the flame and relationship you used to have. I agree alot have forgotton their first love and there are many more wolves as sheep pozers. Telling them apart gets easier with the more you know God and the closer your relationship is.

yes. The funny thing is this, God's original teachings in the old-testament came to a point like this too. Do you know how Jesus used to lash out on Pharisees and Saducees? It's because they corrupted God's laws to better themselves, and make money. People are corruptible. We are just in a world where some "leaders" do the same. Unfortunately those are the visible few who get the attention.

Did the bible change or do you have some other source for Jesus teaching?

Please tell me where in the gospels that business is discussed?

You mean God opened up a shop?

There is the spiritual and the physical (remember the coin?)

The only corrupted teachings are the teachings you do not know or practice.

So stop worrying about business and focus on what really matters.

Whenever followers of Jesus Christ (which is what I am) place selfish intent in front of glorifying God then you have the beginnings of corruption. The message of salvation through Jesus was never meant to be presented as a performance nor provide anyone the means of becoming wealthy. However, many have been blessed (i.e., financially) by their God given gift of preaching, singing and writing books about their experiences relative to being a follower of Jesus Christ.
But the devil will do his best to tempt well intended folks in placing their human interests before the God they serve.

Because the people who "run" religion are all just the oppostie of what Jesus' teachings were all about. They have become selfish and greedy and hide their lies behind good works and charity. When in fact half of that is a lie too. Be a good person, treat others as you wish to be treated. How hard is that? We have too many people who have lost touch with what it means to be a compassionate and caring individual, people are more interested in, "What will I get out of this?" when it should be, "What can I do to help your life be better?" Just my oppinion.

Because some people are not respecting the Bible and are trying to make money off of it.
The Bible is one of the largest topics, so these money hungry people know that if they make movies about it and make up things, they'll create a stir, causing lots of money to flow in.
In the Bible it says what happens to these people and I
would not want to be in their place.

because when it comes right down to it, his teachings were a threat to the powers that be of his time, or in fact to any kind of power as we conceive it now, including the power of ,say, the catholic church. however, the bible is a very long book, and with the proper practice you can twist it to support anything you like - problem solved

After Rome grabbed Christianity, it was only a matter of time. In all honesty the Church has much improved. Buying one's way into heaven is not as blatant as it once was.

Ministry should be about helping people, but instead we have people in the kingdom of God trying to make money every way they can. Bottom line is that there's to many pimps in the kingdom of God.
