Gel and mousse will make it look crusty, baby oil is good, but to much and it will look gross!! Wash every other day, use shampoo that suits your scalp ( oily, dry) shampoo only your scalp, when you rinse the soap running down will be enough to wash the rest, also use a GOOD conditioner!!!!!!! Combing your hair in the shower with the conditioner in really helps for easier combing out of the shower. Get your hair trimmed when ever you see a split end. They are like ants, where there is one there's a hundred. You can ask to only have a centimeter cut off. I do it, some times they get pissed but I'm the one paying and it's my head. Hope this helps.

Use conditioner everytime you wash your hair. Only wash your hair once every 2 days. Get your hair trimmed every 2 months. You can get a wet look when its straight by using a sleeking gel.

Use mousse or gel but make sure its alcohol free for the wet look. To grow your hair, limit heat and brush/comb as little as possible.

Use good salon quality shampoo & conditioner. Get it trimmed every 3-6 months (when ends look split).
Mousse will make it look wet. It feels a little "crunchy" though. Gel does the same.

Why would you want your hair to always look wet? Mousse does the trick, but makes it crunchy, kind of like back in the 80's.

when my hair was long ( almost down to my butt) i washed it once a week and brushed it every morning. the girls always asked me how i kept my hair so soft and nice looking. they would not believe it when i told em how little i did. u mess with ur hair too much and u'll screw it up. for the wet look use a good quality pomade after u wash it.

always use conditioner so that you don't get split ends, and for the wet look use a serum or hair spray.

Keep it trimmed and be careful of split ends. Don't let it look trashy, because that's gross, so make sure you wash it and condition it a lot.
