Michelle, there are two possible answers.
If the therapist is actively endangering people by threats or deeds, or directing them to take part in dangerous and illegal activity, then a police report is appropriate.
However, if you mean the therapist is using his or her practice to give bad advice of a harmful nature, or to entice patients into having sex, then the principal recourse is the state licensing board. Each state has a different name for the agency that regulates licensed therapists.
You can usually find a phone number for the agency - such as the "Board of Medical Examiners" (the name of the agency in one state) - in your phone book's "government pages."
Good luck and be careful.

Not enough information in your question. In some states therapists or counselors do not have to be licensed or have any special schooling.
If the endagerment is against the law, contact the police and give them the information. If nothing else, they should be able to lead you in the right direction for where you might go with this problem next.

I am a physial therapist myself, so I know that a professional license is public knowledge. You may view the therapist's license and if there are or have been any complaints against them. This includes doctors, psychotherapists and the like. Go to your state's government site. I am from michigan and it resembles michigan industry and consumer services.gov. Go to licensing and it directs you from there, as to how to file a formal complaint. This is taken very seriously, the state does want to know about misconduct, it keeps us as licensed professionals responsible and lets the consumer know that they are safe in their hands. Thank You. There are many licensing exams that theparist have to have. You need to figure out from your state who the licesing agency is. and contact them. The police can do nothing unless they are phyically harming...but they may be able to give you the number to the liscening board. If there is any doubt w/the lis/medical board they will start an investiagation and if it's true they will pull her liscense.

Could always start with a Better Business Bureau. Also if your therapist is covered by your insurance, call them and explain that this person is a danger to others -- and see if there's anything they would recommend. Also call Social Services.
Good luck.
