I live in a humid climate and really want to do the Japanese chemical straightner but it's $700. I can't afford that and was wondering if anyone knew any local with salons less expensive treatments in NYC, DC, GA?

And yes, I know about the flat irons...i already do that but i'm tired of doing it EVERYDAY!

I'm not a beautician, but I have been told that you can comb a perm through your hair and it will work and its more mild than using those chemical straighteners, buy a perm that has a before and after conditioner, and I would only leave it on my hair for half the time it says for giving the actual perm.

I would assume you keep combing your hair during the whole process. If unsure about any of this call a beautician, I don't want you to take my advise and ruin your hair. It's just what I was told a long time ago by a friend that is a beautician.

Yeah, you can get it done at a salon for less than $!00 (it's just a perm). You can also buy a home perm kit and do it yourself. It's not that hard, nor is it expensive.

Hi. I have been telling everyone about this product and I am going to share it with you. I use maxiglide by maxius. It definitely works. You don't have to use any chemicals. check out their website.....http://www.maxiusbeauty.com/
I also use beyond straight for the humidity. Yes it works too. good luck and if you do order it and it doesn't work out for you, you'll get your money back!
