Long distance relationships are hard to do. But they are sometimes the most fun. I have had three in my time, and would not take back one second of any of them. However, they do require complete commitment to the effort and total trust in the other person. Don't let it scare you though. Talking online and over the phone goes a long way. Then when you do get to see each other in person it is that even more special than seeing them everyday. Good Luck!!! (And invest in "free long distance" cell phones or buy stock in "long distance phone cards")

yes try it. I have a long distance relationship going on right now. Mine is 8,000 miles away. I live in LA California, she lives in Quezon City Philippines. But how long have you known this guy, have you ever met him. these kind of things are important. Just because a guy says that he love you don't always mean he does. there could be a possibility that he has someone on the side over there. that is usually how I have seen long distance relationships go, but that is not always the case, because I am living proof that long distance relationships can work. I am getting married this august, and we have had a long distance thing going on for over a year and a half. So it is up to you for what you want to believe.

Take it from someone that has tried and failed...long distance relationships DO NOT WORK. In order to really have a future, one of you will have to eventually move accross the country. This means packing up all your belongings, getting a new job, saying goodbye to friends and family...getting used to a new life in a place filled with strangers...etc. Have you ever even met the guy?
If you are really in love with this guys take a long vacation and go visit him! Not just a few days or weeks. Go for a month or two and see if he is really the one for you. I wish you all the best!

My husband lived in Canada and I here in California when we met. Not only were we states apart. We were also countries apart. Love conquered all distance and after time we married and it has been 13 years and four children. Yes, long distance relationships work. It takes a lot more trust, patience, understanding and compromising. Good luck hun

I am going to be honest about this situation. A man knows what a woman wants and needs. You can't actually say you really like a man you think you know. Have you ever been around him and his family and friends. Have you heard the good, bad, and the ugly things about him? If not you know your own answer.

It can be stressful, but take it from someone who is in a long-distance relationship: It CAN work. It's just a matter of how badly do you want it. Trust me: if you want it to work, it'll work. :)

How do you know this? have you met him face to face?
You can say ANYTHING online.. get it?
If you have never met him, it's likely all lies.
I wouldn't trust it, get away while you can.
