My dog had puppies about a year ago. we kept two, one male, one female, we got the male fixed but no matter what, even if the she isn't in heat, he humps her.
how can i stop him???

You really can't. It's more of a dominance feat than a sexual act--is your female puppy submissive to him? He may just be "staying on top" so to speak. I have two female dogs, both spayed, and my younger one, who is 11 months old, still humps the older one. It's annoying, but you might try spraying him with a water bottle.

Is he fixed? Most times this is dominance behaviour. He is trying to show her who is boss. You can decide who is what in the pack order him by the way you treat him. If you are care full to give him attention last and to feed him last he will figure out his place in the pack is to be low man on the totem pole. Dogs don't care what place they are in the pack they just need to know their rank.

I would suggest you get a big doll for him to hump and keep on telling him no.

It's behavioral. Natural. Dominance. Try getting his attention to do something else when you catch him doing it.

try telling him "NO!" when he does but all male dogs are like that.
