Would you plan your wedding around it?

A lot of couples end up not making love on their wedding night for a lot of reasons. Exhaustion, drinking to much ,ect. So unless you had saved yourself for your wedding night, I don't see any point in changing the whole day for your period. Hopefully you will have the rest of your lives together to do the deed.

Of course not - you have control over it if you are smart enough to plan a few months out. Get on the pill and regulate that way. Stop taking it right after the wedding and you shouldn't have any problems if you are trying to get pregnant. : )

"this is not good (obviously) to do on a regular basis, but it does not hurt anything to do it once (according to the doctor)" Actually there isn't really any harm in doing this for months at a time. It's what Seasonale is and some women haven't had periods for years, simply by altering their birth control schedule. If your doctor fears for it, he isn't up on the latest literature or feels that women have to be held back by periods. They don't.

Yes. If you have regular periods pay attention to when it comes and or how long. Try to set a date that would be far from your wedding date and honeymoon so you 2 can be intimate.

YES.. It is one of the highlights of the honeymoon. Plus who wants to run the risk of bleeding on a white wedding gown. Imagine walking down the isle in your beautiful dress with a big red blood stain on your dress. How memorable. Also you will be crampy and miserable. You will have alot of stress on your wedding day, don't add to it. Think about it...

this situation happened to me. i tried to plan around it, but part of our honeymoon was going to be "corrupted" by it. i was on birth control so what my doctor told me to do was just keep taking the next month pills. therefore, just skip over the week that you are supposed to have your period. so the day when i was to take the placebo pills to start my period, i immediately took the the first pill for next month and was okay. i may have spotted a little bit, but i was fine and there were no problems.
this is not good (obviously) to do on a regular basis, but it does not hurt anything to do it once (according to the doctor)

good luck and congrats!

If you aren't on birth control I would recommend starting it anyways. If you already are, since it isn't even necessary to have a pill period you can move it around so the pill is your answer. Hopefully it is an option. To learn more about it talk to your OBGYN you should see him or her before your wedding anyway.

I planned to ensure that wouldn't happen with getting an exam and taking birth control. The stress associated with the preparation and activities made me late anyway and it came on my wedding day as I had feared. I had to explain but everything worked out fine, my hubby is wonderful!!!

I planned my wedding according to my birth control pills and the online Farmer's Almanac (for the weather.) It was a beautiful day and I was two weeks away from my period. It's the bloating you have to watch out for so you can fit in your dress.

Been there, Did that. Planned my wedding around it, but mother nature had different plans for me. It's nerves. "Just go with the flow" . Sorry 'bout the pun. It will all come out in the wash.
