What is Islam? One faction says "Kill the infidels!" another says, "oh, no, killing them is wrong" yet another faction says "destroy all artifacts that do not praise Allah" (such as the "Taliban" blowing up the ancient Buddhist statues in the desert of Afghanistan), and so on and so forth. Christianity is like that too, so is Judaism.

My point is this, too many of us (people) just jump on the bandwagon when the zealots come trundling by, without bothering to really read and research what they're buying into.

If Islam can be straightforward, yes, it can be THE way of life. But it can't, and sadly none of the other major religions can either..

I do not believe islam is the way of life. Jesus said in the Gospel of John that he is the way, the truth and the life. Jesus died on the cross for all our sins and he is willing that none should perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Believe it or not, Islam (submission to the will of God) is the only way of living life accepted by God.

It certainly can be A way of life. And that's actually what may be wrong with it. Like many other exclusivist ideologies, it can seal off individuals from many intellectual currents.
