they don;t want you to know what time it is or how dark it's getting out side so they can keep you in there longer., sort of like a casino.,..

I've seen a few churches without windows, such as the Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses. It's not that they are doing anything questionable or secretive, it's just that they feel they need privacy to keep harassers from peeking in or causing a scene of some sort.

Perhaps it also allows church members inside to feel free to worship how they feel led without feeling like the world is looking on.

Easiest way to keep them in ! Give them a window and they will be crawling out of it just before the collection plate is passed.

without clear windows would be for people not to get distacted during sermon by looking outside. without stain glass windows... the contractor was stupid.
