We all go through this, so do not be discouraged. In praying, take one person or one subject at a time. Don't try to pray for the whole world at one. Keep your prayer simple and brief---God hears you the first time, he is not deaf and he is not stupid. Some people---particularly pastors---feel that they have to make long and drawn out dissertation to God that are more complicated than a doctoral thesis on nuclear physics and that they have to scream at the top of their voice.. Simplicity is always the best approach. Before going into a prayer session have an idea about what you want to pray about. If you are at a loss for some one or something specific to pray for or about, then pick up your Bible and begin to read from the Book of Psalms. The psalms are poetry, songs and prayers. I pray that this helps you. Jesus loves you and he loves to fellowship with you in prayer. Prayer to God is a form of ministering to God. We are to minister to him if we expect him to minister to us. God bless you for your question.

Do you know that God is there, listening? If so, one would think you'd be exited to "talk to Him" and get directions from Him. But, you might be less motivated to pray, if you are not sure that He is there. Have you prayed for Gods help in this?

When I have a hard time praying, it is usually because of my own bad conscience, and/or because I have been to superficial and not honest enough in my prayers. I have no illusions of being able tide anything from God, but my prayers and answers to prayers are much more satisfactory when I have thought things through before I pray. It helps to know (and admit to yourself and God) what you are really praying about and it is a form of honesty. Then you might starting to look forward to praying.

Are you ready for an answer to your prayers, even if the answer is not what you expected? Is your mind already made up, or are you ready to act on God's quiet whisper in your heart? If you aren't ready for answers to your prayers, chances are that you won't get any. Have faith and pray for answers and directions. Pray for Gods hand in your life and then, WHEN you get your answers--don't be slow to pray in grattitude, to give thanks and recognition. Let God know through your prayers that you realize where your blessings come from.

It happens. We're human and we go through phases. But I guess the better question is how are you praying. If you are stuck reciting liturgical prayers that you have been taught to say since you were a kid, try talking to God like a friend. How would you talk to your best friend if they were there minute by minute. Try praying out what you are thinking about stuff. Try using a favorite bible verse and thinking about what it means, then pray to God what came to mind.
If something good is going on, thank God for it.

We all go through dry spells in our relationship with God. Just remember the commitment you made to Him and no matter what you are feeling, just continue to make good on your commitment. It is much easier to pray when we feel like it then when we don't and God gives special blessings who continue to pray no matter what they may be feeling that day. God Bless You!

Sometimes God lets us go through a dry spell. It tests your faith.

One women who had the Holy Ghost, could not feel Him for some time. So she considered what she had been doing to see if she grieved Him. She could not find anything wrong, so she continued serving Him as she had been. After 1 year she felt His presence again, and has since then.

possibly had the thoughts of: is ther really a god. Good job, your now have stepped out of the crowd of 'religious people' who think there is a 'god' but just joined in on the band wagon.
Take a look around, ask your self, am i wasting my time. I'd hate to see a man so close, just fall back onto the band wagon.

Well what were you praying for? Maybe Difficulties have arised?
Just remember though:
. And he provides a way out for us. Think of all the bad things people have said about God, all of the people who have HURT him, like saying He's the cause of all this suffering. WE'RE the cause. We hurt ourself. But God still helps us. He provides they out of this filthy, nasty world. And most would HIGHLY agree that the END is NEAR.

Did you take your arthritis medicine so that your knees would bend? Otherwise, how would I possibly know why YOU, a person I don't know from anyone else in the world, would have a hard time praying? Do you feel guilty? Have you done something that you shouldn't have done? I hope you get your answer, but I doubt it will be from anyone on here.
