Trace the geneology, and look for any women healers in the family. Most healers were believed to be witches, so that's basically it there. Other than that, if you can find roots back to pagan culture, you should be able to figure it out again.

Very hard to tell because in the past, witches wouldn't come out of their broom closets for the simple fact that christians would say that a certain witch put a hex on her. If you believe you have an inner power, chances are, you had an ancestor who did.

I don't believe in witches but you can check by seeing how your ancestors died and why (maybe the ones that died a early age and unexplained death could be witches that died in Salem) You'll never know.
