As long as you have the cleared funds in your bank account then go for it! Don't hand over the caravan until this happens, possession being nine tenths of the law.

This could be a scam , there is a scam that works that way the cheque is no good and all the money for the "agent" will come from your account.
If the sale is genuine DO NOT PART with the caravan until all funds are safely in your bank account and do not sign any documents of sale prior to this .

I see no problem with this, but I advise you that if the third party are paying by cheque, hold on to the caravan until the cheque has been passed.

That's not necessarily a scam. You can do it through an escrow broker or escrow agent. This third party can usually even handle the shipping part of it without you having to worry about it. If they handle the shipping, they can assure that the van was delivered and you receive your money. I would not do this unless you choose the escrow company and it is known that they are legitimate. I suggest that you choose an online escrow company. They charge higher rates, but he should have to pay for the escrow since he wants the third party. Also, do not sign the title over to him until you receive your money.

What happened to good old cash you always knew where you were with that, my first impression it sounds like a scam, my advice go with your first thoughts if you think it s a scam it probably is, call me a pessimist but usually if your first suspicion is dont trust it is usually the correct thought.
