I guess they could be depending on your point of view, but mine is a good example of being wrong way too many times. Clearly you may need to go & do some more living or your mother, actually maybe both of you. Go & do some hitch hiking with your mom & see if she can guess which car or truck will pick you up next & how the person/s will be? Or go to a foreign land & hang out for awhile. Or something just out of the ordinary, I bet your mothers right answers will no longer be 100% accurate.

That is what I though asking a few years ago. But then my mom passed away and it was so sudden and I was grown up but in a moment of acute grief and sense of loss I did realize moms are always right and here is why. Moms know their children, for an average of nine months they let their kids grow in their wombs and oh that is a lot of time to know anybody when we cant even move or say 'no I am old enough to obey you'. Knowing us so intricately and intimately I realize that moms also know what is right or wrong for their kids. Like when we wet the beds and are not even able to feed ourselves these poor things take up the responsibility. The family I belong to was there till my mom. After her its not a family anymore. But she always knew me. Sometimes I couldnt tell her what I did as an 'independent adult' and when in agony I used to have a migraine, I used to put my head in her lap and she would whisper in my ear while massaging my shoulders that "hey its okay, does it hurt that bad and she would be pointing towards my heart". Not only myself when my son was born it was my mom who told me to do this and do that and the lady I was married to would scream "how come she is so wise and know-it-all and I cant let her interfere in my own kid's life" but when the same kid was so seriously ill, it was mom who told me to get him the advice of another doctor and being a dr. myself I went to her and my son got better. She knew what is right not only for myself but also for my son and my brother's kids and had she been alive I would tell her "mom, you were always right" and know what she would hug me with tears in her eyes and tell me "come on now, its you who is all wise and I am just the help person from the guy upstairs some like to call God" and would never let me feel ashamed. She would be right yet again:)

Now that's a good question.....
Having one and being one adds much more light to this for you.....
It's simple, we just have more experience of life and want to pass it on to our children to save them from pain. My mum is 66 now and she's still always right, i'm 35 and have different experiences so my daughter benefits from 2 generations ( but she'll get it wrong like we all do until we are mothers )
Sweet question, would never have agreed with my own answer 11 years ago ha ha ha .

Mother have a tool that I don't understand. My mother is always right, too. When she tells me something it like it comes true. So now I just ask her about stuff before I get into. So I can feel like I can do stuff on my own without her saying I told you so.

First thing you need to remember is woman are always right (this is something my dear mom taught me) With that being said, mothers are like super woman! The know everything and even if they don't they are all powerful so if you know something they don't it doesn't matter because they have the power to tell you to shut up, go to your room, get out of the house, stop calling, whatever it is they want...and its all because they are ALWAYS RIGHT

Because Husmands tell them so! Lfe is so much easier that way........for husbands/fathers that is!
Actually as I am sure you would agree. The real answer is that women are always right. Mothers, Daughters, Aunts and the women down the road.
Such is life.....from a mans perspective!

Mothers are not right all the time. We just try to be. If it seems that we are that are because we have more experience than you - been there, done that or know somebody that has.
Sorry kids.
