It's called "Westernization" of beauty. In America, everyone tries to make themselves look like a certain ideal: which is the European look.
While I don't think people like Tyra Banks looks bad with their new hairstyle. I wish that all people didn't just think that one look was beautiful, and that all races were considered beautiful.

beyonce and tyra can pull off those light colors because of their complexion and ciara recently went back to her natural brown and she looks a million times better with it

My opinion of this is the same as I have for straight haired women who curl their hair, curly haired women who straighten theirs, dark haird women who lighten and vice versa. It's a woman's perogative (I'm sure you've heard the term), and I for one, welcome this habit. It's not so much that change is good, but variety is so great. Unlike those who post that natural is the only way to go, I would be so unhappy if women completely stopped wearing beauty products and deodorant and nice clothes.
My opinion applies to men as well. Natural is OK. Some people can carry if off very well. It is just one of the many states of mind.

Well, styles of Hollywood don't always fly in the neighborhood. A pair of pink plastic pants for example may look good on a male celebrity at certain occasion, but I would never try that me. But if that what help you achieve something in any form___a fashion statement or to land that man etc. I'll say it's all fine with me.

I honestly think they are trying to fit into the Hollywood "it" factor.. Maybe trying to be more white... I personally think natural is more beautiful... I don't dye my hair... If women knew how harmful the chemicals in the dye were then they would think twice about making such a decision..

Beyonce and her younger sister Solange was born with light hair, their hair is natural.
Tyra's hair is naturally a little light brown.
Ciara's hair is also natural.
Keisha Cole's hair has been dyed a lot.
I think it's OK for a black person to want lighter hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I want lighter hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they look beautiful as long as they don't dye it bleach blond or anything close to that. Light brown hair on darker skin looks beautiful. Why, don't you like it?

I think that it's their hair so they can do what thay want to it. Just like when you wake up in th emorning you can choose what you want to wear. What about punk girls/boys that may dye their hair pink or green? So I feel that it's quite ok becuase we own our own body.
