Ive had dark brown hair since last year and i really miss my blonde. but my brothers girlfriend said i shouldnt dye it blonde because i wont like it. Im sick of my dark hair and its summer and I have hazel eyes and i think lighter hair will look nice. I was going to get lighter and lighter instead of dying it all at once. Is there any suggestions on what i should do?

I think that it would be safer if you took a lighter brown and dyed it that color first and if it is still to light, then keep going down or up in color untill you find a shade that you like.
You could also go to a professioal salon and ask them what they think would look best with your face and eyes and what color would look best.

Try going a little lighter brown with blonde highlights. Then if you like it, you can keep going lighter. If the change doesn't happen all at once, it will be easier to handle.

I tried this once. Bad idea. My hair ended up so fried I had to cut it all off. And I mean ALL. If your hair is naturally dark and you want a lighter and brighter look for summer I would have highlights done. Make sure you have it done by a professional, though.

I think you should go to a chesnut brown maybe a light expresso ...i have dark hair too ...naturally and i really want those colors or just squeeze lemon juice in your hair and lay out in the sun, that will lighten it a few shades, besides it's less expensive than dying it.<3

you need to go to a walmart and see if they have any sun in it's for any body that wants their hair to be lighter it's about 4 dollars I used it and I had really dark brown hair and it became a sandy blonde you will have to use it a couple of times.

Maybe alittle blonde with a lot of different streaks that are lighter and darker shades of blonde&brown.

get a foil wrap done,you can choose 3-4 similiar colors and it looks fantastic! I have my hair done this way,I am mostly all real blonde highlights in summer coz I have a nice tan that makes your hair look nicer and more blondie if you have the tan to go with the hair!

go ahead and go back blonde. if its what you want i am sure you will love it. its always nice to have a lighter color for the summer anyways. if it doesnt work out you can always go back brown.

Dye it a few shades lighter.
Then in a few weeks frost or highlight it with blonde color.
