The skin is burned and damaged. Your body is trying to heal its self. Aloe Vera does help take the sting away. You also need to stay inside or wear long sleeves so you don't burn the baby skin trying to grow.

It's the same way with burning the skin. If you touch a hot stove, you won't feel pain right away if you burn it really bad. However, after a while it will REALLY hurt!

I'ts because you've killed some of the pain receptors and you don't feel pain until they start to grow back (just a guess)

because the skin is dry and tight and basically if you think about it your skin is cooking...it stops cooking after it cools which depending on how long youve baked will determine how long before it stops stinging....try taking a lit match and put it on your finger - -flash cooking right...same concept

because your nerve ending are all at the skin surface and you have caused damage to them this leads to pain and a burning sensation. aloa vera rubbed on the skin will help with the pain and burning
